Blog Rush to Increase Traffic
A few days ago i put up a widget from Blog Rush. You sign up for the service and place thier widget somewhere on your blog with the hopes of bringing some extra traffic your way. I just started this blog two days ago and have virtually zero traffic so the numbers I am giving you are anemic. After all, this blog is about my experience starting a blog and trying to monetize it. Blog Rush was my first step on trying to build up traffic. It is still very new so getting in during the beginning may be very advantagous due to their structure.
This is how it works. When you sign up you give a little info about your blog and select a category that your posts fall under. Then you paste their code sonewhere on your site. For every impression that the Blog Rush widget gets on your site, you get one credit added to your account. One credit in your account gets you one impression in the widget on another website in the same category as yours.
If you refer another person to sign up for Blog Rush you get credits for their impressions as well. And you will get credits from anyone who signs up from them. This goes on for ten generations with the credit rate diminishing to 1:8 for the last level. This is where getting in early can be beneficial, although I also see quite a potential for abuse and spamming. The dev team assures us that they are working hard to eliminate any abuse and any account caught cheating will be permanently banned.
So how are the results? Well keep in mind my blog started two days ago so my traffic is pitiful as of now. But I have had 100 impressions on other blogs with 2 click throughs for a 2% clicktrough rate. Not bad at all. If your blog was getting 10,000 impressions a day you would get 200 visitors from Blog Rush.

Dont see the logic for continuous traffic. I mean someone has to click to get to your blog. So CTR is important. Just impressions wouldn’t help.
