Leaving More Comments Means More Traffic.. Maybe?
I have been actively trying to leave more comments in a few different blogs in the hope of getting some additional traffic to come to this site. I know this is a big thing that people suggest when getting a new blog started. So far I’ve only seen a few new visitors and wonder how effective it really is. I suppose getting a first comment on a well read site will get you clicks out of curiosity but I wonder if it is an effective strategy to build readership. I suppose you have to start somewhere though.
It just seems like spamming to me. Although, a few people I have discussed this ( via comments on their blogs ) seem to think of them as perfectly acceptable. Actual spam of course is frowned upon by everyone.
So will continue to make comments on other blogs in hopes of gaining a few readers. I am working on a few how to articles as they seem to be popular link bait!! But that is for another post.

Thanks for the link.

Let’s see if this comment works as a highway of INTERNET traffic to my site.
Anyway… I have notice that for anyone to follow your link from a comment you must have something worth saying. If your comment is sub-par one will assume that your blog is also sub-par.
The best form of comment driven traffic is responding to a meme, or host an image on your site that relates to the content of the comment.

Yes , you are right , but that is not working every time, i thinl that you should post comments with your Url in blogs with a hight Page Rank to have a lot of back Links
